Franz Schubert Winterreise

Die Winterreise, the song cycle based on texts by Wilhelm Müller, is one of Franz Schubert’s best-known works. Hardly anyone else could convey the spirit of Romanticism and its guiding principles of longing, alienation and loneliness more accurately and to the point than Schubert, who completed this composition one year before his death.
