Sky du Mont

Sky du Mont was born in Buenos Aires/Argentina in 1947. He spent his childhood and youth in Munich, Switzerland, and London, and attended the Schauspielschule at Munich between 1969 and 1971. He celebrated his cinema debut in 1976 with the film “Das Schweigen im Walde“. His popularity in Germany increased in the mid-1980s with du Mont’s appearance in the comedy “Otto – Der Film“. His performance as a rich gentleman in Stanley Kubrick’s 1999 film “Eyes Wide Shut“ presented him to international audiences. In 2001, du Mont took on the role of the thug Santa Maria in Michael „Bully“ Herbig’s parody of Western films, titled “Der Schuh des Manitu“. This was followed by the successful cinema production of the comedy „Traumschiff Surprise“. To date, Sky du Mont has appeared in roughly one hundred television dramas, among these a number of English, French and American productions. For his acting achievements, du Mont has been awarded the Comedy-Preis and the Bambi multiple times.
