The Neuer Kammerchor Berlin was founded in October 2016 by Adrian Emans and has quickly become one of the country’s most prestigious chamber choirs. The repertoire includes challenging a cappella and choral-symphonic literature from the Renaissance to classical modernism. The choir regularly presents premieres of works by young composers and creates innovative interdisciplinary choral projects, incorporating electronic music, light installations, and video art. The Neuer Kammerchor Berlin has released two CDs and has a history of concert tours to Australia, South Africa, the Czech Republic, Poland, Luxembourg, and Italy. The ensemble successfully participated in international competitions such as “Praga Cantat”, “10th World Choir Games”, and “Claudio Monteverdi International Choral Festival and Competition”, winning the “Grand Prix” at the Monteverdi Choir Competition in Venice. At the German Choral Festival in May 2022, the choir won two first prizes and a special award for “outstanding achievements as a choir.” In the German Choral Competition Hannover 2023, the Neuer Kammerchor Berlin achieved 4th place in the category of “Mixed Chamber Choirs.” In 2020/21, the choir gained recognition nationwide through a series of digital video productions.
