Margit Übellacker

Margit Übellacker is dedicated to reviving the medieval andbaroque repertoire for historical instruments of the dulcimerfamily such as the psalter, dulce melos and pantaleon. Shewas inspired by her studies at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis,Bruckner-Conservatory in Linz and the Richard-Strauss-Conservatory in Munich. She is co-founder of the ensemblesLa Gioia Armonica and Dulce Melos.Concert tours and radio, television, audio and videoproductions have taken her all over Europe, North andSouth America, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, India, Russiaand to Carnegie Hall. She has worked with ensembles suchas L‘Arpeggiata, The King‘s Singers, Accademia Bizantina,Musica Fiorita, Musica Alta Ripa, Tiburtina Ensemble,Les Passions de l‘Ame, Il Suonar Parlante, Oni Wytars, theAustralian Brandenburg Orchestra, L‘Orfeo Barockorchester Linz,L‘Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, WDR SymphonyOrchestra Cologne, Mozarteumorchester Salzburg and theChamber Orchestra Basel. She has played concerts withsoloists and ensemble directors such as Philippe Jaroussky,Hana Bla¸íková, Nuria Rial, Céline Scheen, Andreas Scholl,Maurice Steger, Aline Zylberajch, Ton Koopman, ChristinaPluhar , Ottavio Dantone, Crawford Young, Michi Gaigg, Jean-Christophe Spinosi and Riccardo Minasi.
