Clemens Flaemig
Clemens Flämig sang in the Dresdner Kreuzchor from 1985 to 1995. Awarded the Rudolf Mauersberger Fellowship, he studied church music, choral conducting and singing at the Universities of Music in Freiburg, Mannheim, and Trossingen. He completed his training in choir conducting with Hans-Christoph Rademann, Simon Halsey, and Jörg-Peter Weigle. From 2011 to 2014 Flämig was assistant conductor of the Basel Boys’ Choir. Since 2013 he has regularly performed as a choir assistant for the Bach Foundation in St. Gallen. In addition to his solo activities as a tenor, Clemens Flämig sang in various professional vocal ensembles such as the Stuttgart Chamber Choir, the Berlin Radio Choir, the RIAS Chamber Choir, and the Balthasar-Neumann Choir. He is a permanent member of the Dufay Ensemble Freiburg and the Vocal Ensemble of the Bach Foundation in St. Gallen. In addition to the regular a cappella performances with the Stadtsingechor, which focus on the repertoire of Central German choral music, Clemens Flämig conducts performances with the Staatskapelle Halle and the Handel Festival Orchestra in Halle. Clemens Flämig teaches conducting at the Evangelische Hochschule für Kirchenmusik in Halle.
