Chor der Musikalischen Komödie Leipzig

The Choir of the Musikalische Komödie specialises in the performance of operetta, musical, and Spieloper. In its Klangfarbe concert series, the ensemble also performs largescale symphonic works for choir as well as sacred repertoire; in the muko.hör.saal series, they perform a cappella repertoire. The small ensemble’s exceptional potential is revealed, in particular, in classical repertoire. On stage, the Choir of the Musikalische Komödie demonstrates great playfulness, presence, and agility. Among its many invited guest appearances, the choir gave a concertante performance of Leo Fall’s Dollarprinzessin at the Prinzregententheater Munich, together with the Rundfunkorchester Munich directed by Ulf Schirmer. In the past, the choir has also engaged in cross-over projects with the Leipzig pop group Die Prinzen.
