Lewis Brito-Babapulle
Lewis Brito-Babapulle was educated at Trinity School, Croydon, where he was an Academic Scholar. He subsequently read Music at Oxford University as Organ Scholar at St Peter’s College. He graduated with 1st class honours in 2004 and was awarded a distinction for his Master’s in 2006. He gained the Fellowship of the Royal College of Organists in 2005, winning the Turpin and Durrant Prizes. After graduating, Lewis trained and qualified as a solicitor, while continuing his busy musical schedule in London. He embarked on his teaching career in 2011, first at St Benedict’s School, Ealing, where he was also organist to Ealing Abbey Choir, and then at Stowe School, where he was Assistant Director of Music and Organist. He returned to Trinity School in January 2015 as Head of Academic Music. Lewis has broadcast and recorded as an organist, accompanist, continuo player and conductor, and has accompanied choirs at cathedrals in the UK and abroad.
