Knabenchor collegium iuvenum Stuttgart

The ecumenical boys’ choir collegium iuvenum Stuttgart was founded in 1989. It is sponsored by a association of supporters. The choir is structured as a choir school in which the boys pass through the ranks of various choir stages. The choir’s hallmark is its very wide repertoire that includes pieces from the spiritual choir music of all eras from the Renaissance up to Modernism. Thanks to the outstanding commitment of several active and former choir members, parents and friends as well as public funding, the boys’ choir has reached a high musical and artistic level and stands the comparison with the top choirs of Europe. The collegium iuvenum Stuttgart maintains a busy allyear schedule of concerts and church services in Stuttgart and throughout the region and goes on tour every year. Alongside oratorical works, the boys’ choir has also demonstrated a strong commitment to modern compositions. This has also resulted in the collaboration with the composer Gregor Hübner.
