Rudolf Müller

Rudolf Müller was born in 1977 in Würzburg. He studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt/Main under Gerd Wachowski, Tomasz Adam Nowak and Martin Sander. He completed his studies with the A Exam for sacred music, the diploma for artistic training and the Konzertexamen (solo-class organ). Master courses in improvisation with, among others, Thierry Escaich, Hans Gebhard, Wolfgang Seifen and Peter Planyavsky rounded out his education. Rudolf Müller is a prize-winner of international organ competitions, including First Prize and Audience Award at the International Bach Competition Wiesbaden, also at the International Competition for Organ Improvisation at Schwäbisch Gmünd. Moreover, he received a scholarship from the Kuratorium Schlosskirche Bad Homburg. He has been engaged as Church Musician since 1994 at the Klosterkirche Mariannhill in Würzburg. In 2006 he received a teaching assignment at Matthias-Grünewald-Gymnasium (Grammar School) in Würzburg (organ literature performance and organ improvisation). As concert organist, he also performed at renowned music festivals and in Italy, Luxemburg, Israel and South Africa.
