Rowan Hellier

Rowan Hellier studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music in Glasgow and at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. She graduated with distinction. Already at an early stage in her career, she made international guest appearances as a singer of Lied and concert repertoires, for example at the Opéra de Lille (France) and the Bregenzer Festspiele. Between 2011 and 2013, Hillier held a scholarship from the Liz Mohn Kultur- und Musikstiftung at the opera studio of the Staatsoper im Schiller Theater, where she made her debut appearance as the Second Lady in Mozart’s Magic Flute in the 2011/12 season. At the ‘Infection’-Festival for contemporary music, Hellier sang in John Cage’s ‘Europeras’.
