Andreas Karasiak

Andreas Karasiak studied singing with Claudia Erler at Mainz and with René Jacobs at Basel. He is a lyric tenor much in demand at international concert and opera houses. Karasiak has appeared in guest performances at renowned opera houses throughout Germany as well in numerous other European countries, Japan and Australia. In 2006, he gave his debut at the Salzburger Festspiele as Agenore in Mozart’s „Il re pastore,“ which was also performed later at the Musikfest Bremen and the Beethovenfest Bonn. As a tenor, Karasiak is much sought after both in the early music world and that of contemporary music. He has sung under conductors such as Gustav Leonhardt, Thomas Hengelbrock and Ton Koopman and has performed together with the Concerto Köln, the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, the Concertgebouworkest Amsterdam and many others at the most distinguished concert houses and festivals throughout Europe. Numerous records and radio productions are evidence of the quality of his artistic achievement.
