Applied to today&#8217;s world, it is about the destruction of the environment, climate change caused by humans and the importance of a balanced climate. The music is both traditional and modern, displaying a variety of timbres, rhythms, cheerful-scurrilous and dramatic moments. With an overwhelming late-Romantic opulence the end, the 95-year-old composer&#8217;s attitude towards one of mankind&#8217;s most pressing themes is expressed. The world premiere of Die Regenentrude on January 27, 2018, recorded on this CD, is part of the Climate Bells project.
