Michael Praetorius is the composer of one of the most expansive, multifacted and innovative repertoires of the 17th century. His large-scale sacred concertos that are part of his late work have only rarely been performed and have thus mostly remained in oblivion. This selection of vocal works from Michael Praetorius\u2019s exhaustive, multifaceted and innovative oeuvre reconstruct a service of Vespers on the eve of St Michael\u2019s Day as it could have been directed by the 17th century composer himself.
