Under the direction of Ulrich Kaiser, the Neue Knabenchor Hamburg presents the broad spectrum of Christmastide choral and instrumental music from seven centuries on its CD Es singt und klingt mit Schalle. Joined by the brass quintet Elbeblech and the concert organist Moritz Schott, the choir performs a diverse selection of music: the numerous Advent and Christmas songs are combined into a unified, coherent musical work through short instrumental preludes.
