The Lorenz Motet Service |at Nuremberg

For its most devoted fans, the Windsbacher Knabenchor’s monthly performance of motets in the church of St. Lorenz in Nuremberg has become all but a must. This monthly tradition has now been captured for posterity on CD. In addition to various works played by organist at St. Lorenz, Matthias Ank, the choir’s renderings of the Windsbacher Psalms, “Wochenlied” and well known motets such as “Exultate Deo”, “Die Engel”, “Zuflucht” and “Domine,” reflect the typically liturgical nature of the St. Lorenz motets. The works were recorded between 1985 and 2001 – all in digital quality.
