With this CD, the Capella Jenensis provides a first insight into the unique musical landscape of Thuringia. In the principalities of the Thuringian small states, there were numerous court orchestras that were in fruitful exchange with each other and received their artistic impulses from Italy, France and England. Alongside this album, elaborately produced concert films were made at Thuringian castles as part of a digital portrait of the Thuringian musical landscape.
