In this recording of 20th century choral music, the Windsbacher Knabenchor presents the musical creativity of one of the most innovative centuries in its various manifestations. The a-cappella programme conducted by Karl-Friedrich Beringer includes “Nachtlied”, from Max Reger’s choral cycle “Acht geistliche Gesänge”, Igor Stravinsky’s “Ave Maria” and Arvo Pärt’s “Magnificat” – to name but a few – all of which form an essential part of the choir’s concert repertoire.
