In this recording of 20th century choral music, the Windsbacher Knabenchor presents the musical creativity of one of the most innovative centuries in its various manifestations. The a-cappella programme conducted by Karl-Friedrich Beringer includes “Nachtlied”, from Max Reger’s choral cycle “Acht geistliche Gesänge”, Igor Stravinsky’s “Ave Maria” and Arvo Pärt’s “Magnificat” – to name but a few – all of which form an essential part of the choir’s concert repertoire. Here, once again, listeners are bound to be delighted by the vocal purity and virtuosity of these young singers.
